If Levy had signed Moutinho it would have been brilliant for Spurs, but shouldn't he have sussed that that was unlikely weeks ago?
He messed up with Spurs starting the first 2 games with only 1 striker, and they have only 1 point when really their play deserved 4 at least, and he has messed up again.
If Marwood had done that he'd have been slaughtered and yet levy is held up to be the ideal transfer negotiator. Or is he really clever and knew he had no chance with Moutinho anyway and has deflected the flak that he'd get for not replacing Modric?
Either way better than Chelsea who we're told were prepared to let Sturridge leave on a permanent transfer leaving them with just one forward - the injury prone Torres - after having spent £80m this Summer on players behind him.
