Premier league refs are on a hell of a lot more money than 100 quid a game.A lot of them seem quite happy to do gentlemans evenings, raking in more cash, but aren't allowed or won't explain their decisions after a game.Pay them more if that's what they want but insist they explain themselves after a match, like the managers and players have to.

I read somewhere they are on that amount. That's why most of them are still in full time jobs.

I'd chuck my job in for more than 500 quid a game

it's £375 per game for Premier League and FA Cup and I think the refs have a basic wage of £57k a year before they get their match fees.

It does make you wonder what an extra grand or two to get a dodgy decision. 375 quid is more than I thought either way.

Clatternburg and Foy I would bet my house on they have taken backhanders. Clatternburg is probably the worst I've seen in 30 years, definitely on the take

Wolves were far from shit.

The came to WHL with a game plan and succeeded in coming away with a point.

They did very well indeed.

Two terrible refereeing decisions went against Spurs - the corner they were awarded for their goal should never have been given and Adebayor's goal was not offside, but these things happen in football.

Until FIFA/UEFA wake-up to the fact that we're in the 21st century and still using 19th century technology, there will always be these absurd calls ruining football.

You don't need to tell us about poor officiating decisions
A nailed on pen vs Chelsea not given
An onside goal scored by Ballotelli vs West Brom cost us two points
An offside last kick of the game winner allowed to stand for Sunderland that cost us a point
A four match suspension given to Kompany for what was a booking at the very most
Even last night, a Wigan player jumped with Dzeko and punched the ball off his head and the ref missed it

Re this weekend's game and how will our patched up defence cope
Has anyone noticed that since putting three past Bolton at the start of December, Spurs have only scored more than one goal in two of their last eight Premier league fixtures, Norwich and Everton
There again, I'm certain the press will spin it as Spurs have scored in every league game this season bar two

I think we can say that Spurs and City aren't established enough to get the rub of the green.

Gerard could fall over and hold out his arms, instant freekick, soft penalties and offside goals allowed.

Same with United all these years and their 20 minutes of injury time.

Arsenal with all their diving through the years, Pires, Henry, Ljungberg, Eboue, RVP

Eventually that will all change. I don't like to blame refs it's not normally my style but they have been extremely poor this season. When players are on 20-200k a week and refs are on 100 quid a game you seriously have to consider foul play along the lines

i dont believe any money changes hands but, i do believe refs are more frightened of upsetting the established top 4 and getting barred from reffing big games

foy lived next door but one to my mate[he s a wanker by the way] im sure he told him they are on 60 k a year.foy is a copper so he really is a ****

The referees are not conspiring against anyone.

I don't think it's that so much as the speed of today's game simply makes it impossible for referees to make the right call in many instances.

They need the assistance which modern technology can provide but which FIFA/UEFA are flatly refusing to provide them with.

See Spurs want to keep Ade after his loan deal expires. If they value Defoe at 20 million (according to Press), then i hope they expect to give us about 25 million for Ade, who is keeping thier 20 million valued striker out of the team.....................................

It's more likely that they don't want Ade feeling unloved and putting his normal half arsed performances in. When the time comes I fully expect them to say they can't afford him.
Levy couldn't lie straight in bed.
