The Treble

If City were to only win the League Cup (and Community Shield), then while I might be disappointed, I'll have loved them for shooting for the stars and trying to win the lot. If it all gets too much and they fall away, so be it. City could have done what other clubs did and "prioritised", but no, they've gone for the lot. It's bloody marvellous. Even if it doesn't work out.

Me too. It is sheer ignorance to consider that League, F.A. Cup and Champions League constitute "the treble", although they are "a treble", there's no denying that. No, it's the domestic treble that is the treble. And for purposes of symmetry, I'd almost rather win that than any two of the three + the CL. Purely personal, of course.
