The turning point....

biggest disappointment of the season was the carling cup, but others ran it close. turning point as already said, was west brom away and sunderland away. we pissed that chance away, and could have been a further 5 points clear. an absolute fucking joke

Personally I think the 6-1 has had major influence on us ending up in the position we now find ourselves in,
Ever since that game the 'lesser' teams have adopted a ten men behind the ball gameplan against us... and we haven't had the pace/tactics/lucky breaks in order to get the better of them.

Could the January transfer window have anything to do with Mancini's attitude? He wanted De Rossi, badly, but couldn't get him... maybe this made him grouchy and bitter toward the owner, hence lack of commitment/concentration the following moth or so?
And when did he have to go back to Italy to see his sick dad?

so he didnt get exactly what he wanted and sulked like a spoilt kid?

not saying thats what happened, its just in response to your post

For me it was when the scum went to spurs played shit and won! with games coming up that were harder for us We needed a bigger points gap! After that result for the scum I felt the title was slipping away!

I only hope we beat Arsenal and keep as closed to to the scum as possible because football is a funny game

What is plan B When when I'm watching games I see Mancini make changes on the field and with subs so that is b, c, d, etc

In my view we should have played the kids in the LC and stuck to it then loosing wouldn't have the negative effect We have suffered from poor ref decsions that have directly cost us points Chelsea WBA and Sunderland, can't think we're we have won points we didn't deserve with Sunderland one at home being exception Other decisions, players being sent off harshly have cost us formations in subsequent games Then there is ACON loosing Yaya and Kolo at crucial time especially when we had 2 semi games to play Then we should have played the kids in Europa here two injuries have cost us Lescott and Kompany

Yes the rags had injuries but all back at the right time and ours have all occurred at the crucially wrong time

I proper review of the fixtures should have been made to access the situation in late Dec and Jan if it was then the wrong decisions were made

WBA showed teams how to play against us then loose of form of key players and the above has resulted in making it unlikely that we win the league

Bobby needs to learn from this season and apply lessons including width with pace not attacking FB. More Real and less Barca unless we can sign Messi

West Brom was the turning point, that's when a team figured out how to play us and the rest have followed suit. The scum did it in the FA cup, everyone behind the ball and counter attacked for Shreks goal.

Finding it hard to find positives now, even if we are 15 points better off this season than last season and likely to finish second.

We finished third last season, made champs league and won a cup.

This season we've played in five competitions and it looks like we won't win anything, so have we improved on last season? I think not.

The turning point was the FA Cup game against the rags. We lost Kompany for 4 games and the win gave them confidence for the run they're on.

I agree with this. Kompany`s two footed tackle ended both our participation in the two cup competitions aswell.

I`ll never know why Mancini dropped/rested Hart for this game. Unreal could you imagine fergie doing same with rooney in a derby.

Pantilimon did superbly in the derby. Hart could have done nothing for any of their goals.

On the subject of Silva, I don't think he's been the same since the kicking he received by Everton at Eastlands.

The turning point for me has been Silva's loss in form since the turn of the year...........Silva doesnt play well, City dont play well.........it really is that simple.

Nasri, to his credit, has shown what he can do (v Chelsea) but not shown it consistently enough
