It might be acceptable, actually. Pillion means a small cushion attached to a saddle and is a word that pre-dates motorbikes.

I’d never come across the word, but if you listen to the question, they steer you in the right direction anyway, even though I wasn’t totally correct.

I just increase my speed from however fast I’m going by whatever the sign tells me.
