The Waiting List

You might want compare our prices with the rest of the Premier League remembering that we have been in the top 2 the last 4 years

they should work out the average of a season ticket for each premier team, that's means every club will need to release how many tickets are sold for each season ticket price category. that will show actually who pay the lowest seasons tickets

you're being disingenuous there, and you know it
the prices quoted there are for the Level 2 hospitality suites with access to new bars, food outlets plus they get parking, programmes and three cup games thrown in
not really measuring the same thing are you

in order to accommodate fans that wouldn't want to buy that package a new stand was built and those fans were given first dibs, quite rightly, in the new stand

of course i'm now added to the list of posters 'who can fuck off' because they disagree with your point

I doesn't matter what freebies the club has thrown in to justify the increase, people that were in those areas were ordinary season ticket holders until recently, now those areas are corporate lite.

The majority already in those seats will have relocated into existing areas of the ground, @Ric was one of them. Some might have sacked it off altogether.

The club priced ordinary blues out of those areas, now it's on the suits to ensure that they're not empty this coming season.

It doesn't reflect well though when there are apparently circa 2k people on the waiting list who've declined the option to buy a season ricket because the remaining tickets available are out of their price range.

The new stand was intended to be full of those blues on the waiting list. But it's largely full of existing season ticket holders fleeing from the vast increases in level 2, and likewise blues seeking respite from the longstanding incremental increases in other areas of the ground.

A lad and dad combo I've been next to for almost ten years relocated from our block due to cost this season.

I think that's a reflection of the wider problem.

Did you read the comment I was responding to? I was echoing his sentiment back at him.

Certainly the price rises in each of the bands has been at a higher rate than the rate of inflation or payrises (such that they are) since 2008 - so there is no doubt that its been getting more costly to be a S/T holder over the last 7 years - I do know SWMBO has given me significantly more grief year on year (or that might be because I'm going to more away and European games each season)

Annoyingly I actually quite liked that as an analogy, albeit a flawed one as the extra seats being added (certainly the cheaper ones) will allow more "Vimto concentrate" fans to attend games, those who couldn't afford to do so previously.

You are correct though in that it's classic Partridge!

Does anyone really know that these cheap ST's have gone to fans who couldn't afford to go previously or have they been snapped up by existing ST holders relocating?
Perhaps a big ask but any idea percentage wise.

Based on Adult Gold:

55% of the stadium available as season ticket at £620 or below
35% of the stadium available as season ticket in the range £675-£750
10% of the stadium available as season ticket at £800 or above

As regards increases for 2015/2016 the pricing plan (on the website and in the ST renewal brochure) is split into 178 segments:

38 new pitchside and south stand which are all cheap with the exception of the from rows of the south stand L3 which are still good value
43 segments where the price is the same of lower than 2014/2015
56 segments where there has been a small increase from 2014/2015 of no more than £20.

So for 137 of the 178 segments (over 75%) ST holders have absolutely not been screwed with stupid price increases this year.
