The Waldorf (and other pubs) may close

Been going in the Waldorf since 1975...when I worked in town. It was a proper little old boozer back then along with Mother Macs, back piccadilly. Town's changed a lot since then. So many pubs lost all over Manchester.

A sad day if it closes. Manchester and city fans history right there.

It's the debt that will be killing this business. If the underlying pubs are trading well then they will be sold, most likely with the staff going with them.

That said its not been a great time for pubs and I'd imagine they won't all be profitable. Kids just don't drink like FOCs.

The one in Luton was also a hotel so maybe that helped

landlord, murdered the wife, and then the cleaner....then topped himself after setting the place on fire....musta been a rough night.
