Heard an interesting take on this other day.
They already have someone else lined up to do the whitewash. She was put forward knowing that there will be a backlash because of her connections and previous.
If she were allowed to go through with it and the result appears a whitewash, it would rumble on.
If she was replaced, it would give the illusion of democracy, and if the results still appear a whitewash, people would less likely to complain and it might just go away enough to carry on as normal.

Anyone involved in a paedo ring should be brought to book including historic cases as with Yewtree.

I'd be more interested to find out though what the outcome was regarding the current wave of paedophile ring enquiries that the Home Affairs Committee headed by Keith Vass was looking into. Rotherham's Social Services were "inexplicably slow" in reacting to the story as it unfolded over nearly a decade and as information was coming in from numerous sources.

Strong suspicions, nothing proven yet, of individual Police and Social Services staff involvement in the rings.

Despite hundreds of girls involved and probably hundreds of groomers or their associates being involved I've heard of one Court case involving 2-3 Defendants and nothing more since.

Keith Vass started off with big promises to grill everyone involved and now nothing. Not heard the word Rotherham in the news ever since.
