The "which famous person died today" thread

Only just seen this rubbish news. Part of the greatest house band ever but much much more than that. Maybe not a household name but a giant of popular music. Would like to think him and Duck Dunn are right now jamming with Otis.

Booker T still going at 81 and due to be over here in April next year, God bless him.

Did Steve Cropper play in the band that the Blues Brothers "got back together" ?

Stunning body of work by Cropper. As good a back catalogue as anyone.

Frank Gehry

Can’t say I liked every building of his that I’ve seen, there’s one near me on the campus of Case Western Reserve University, but he was different and had an overall positive impact on modern architecture and you can’t ask for more than that.

Best selling author Sophie Kinsella passed aged 55 due to brain cancer. May not mean anything to most but lots of ladies will be upset at the news.

Raul Malo of the Mavericks now too. One of the best and maybe underrated singers of recent times. Took my old fella to see him at Cheltenham town hall years ago, a solo acoustic gig, very well supported by Kim Richie. Never did many things just dad n’ lad together, but that was a great night and thought of my Dad when I saw this earlier.

Brain cancers are relentless as there isn't much to be done.
Horrible. Someone was telling me the other week that their husband dropped dead after hitting his shot on the first tee at his golf club. Wellied it down the middle and then boom, dropped like a stone. Instant death from a massive heart attack. That sounds a much better way to go!
