The "which famous person died today" thread

Apparently a really nice guy.....Denny sang that Moody Blues hit song "Go Now" when he was with them.
He was in Wings for quite a few years, Him & McCartney were at one time a duo who recorded the album Band On The Run in Lagos when the rest of the band didn't show up.

RIP.
There's not many better songs than "Go Now". It's one of the greatest songs of the 60s and that opening line takes some beating. I don't even think Sinatra or Fitzgerald could beat that delivery. It's absolutely superb.

I know it's a controversial one, but "Mull of Kintyre" is just brilliant - melodic, memorable and as the old phrase goes "I wish I'd had written a song as bad as that". Not to mention absolute classics with Wings on Band on the Run.

Not only that he played with Ginger Baker. Some CV that!

RIP Denny and thanks for the absolute classics.

Thought it was Warren Beatty but Carly Simon has never disclosed who it actually is.

Yeah I was unsure when I typed it - sad he is dead but TBH can't think of one of his movies that I would go back and see - maybe they were "chick flicks" just not sure.

I hadn't realized that Richard Roundtree had passed away.
He was one of my teenage heroes,as the black private detective John Shaft.
I thought he was one cool dude in his long leather coat.
And the film (Shaft ) had a great soundtrack , particularly
"Theme From Shaft" and "Café Regios" .
RIP Richard .
