RIP Johnie Irwin.
So sad to hear. I had read it was terminal and had been dreading news but never really believed it would happen.
Loved his down to earth attitude on ETTC and he will be sorely missed.

That era is sadly coming to an end, one of the all time greats of Welsh rugby / world rugby.
On Saturday I thought if him and JPR turned up at Cardiff they would have got a game ;-)

I think its to enable some of the younger viewers an idea of who he is. I agree Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy was a great bit of acting. Also on the radio he did rogue male - another masterpiece
A bit like earlier when they said Eastenders star Ian Lavender has died. I thought WTF there was another role that made him immortal in my eyes
