The Willy post game thread (merged)

Earned his place is in our history today, stood up and made his mark. Really happy for him, incredible. What a way to prove everyone wrong!
 
Can we all now support a very dignified and gifted coach. Once again everything right today.

If not for a bit of casual/nervy finishing today's game woykd have been done on the hour.

And sthe old **** Pellegrini woykd have taught the Aotkd's coolest coach a lesson.

It was Pellegrini who adapted, who changed, who gambled.

His balls were big enough to risk the wrath of so many, his trust in his man. Won us a game that our players could have lost.
 
Made the win that much more special, that Pellers stuck by Willy... he earned that final it's Willy's cup. I noticed Joe did not lift the cup properly when it came to him and straight after he gave Willy a man hug with a word in his ear, I think he was saying the same thing to him.
 
Did what he needed to do and then some, made up for the big man.
 
Never once gave him stick and was fully behind him starting after being there all cup.

The amount of stick he was getting was just not on before the match and days leading up to it.
 
My apologies to Big Willy and well done to him, the players and Pellers. I wanted Hart to play today. That's why I'm sat on a fans forum and they're earning millions a year to win the club I love trophies.

He showed himself an excellent keeper with that performance and i was made up for him given how much it obviously meant to prove his many doubters wrong.Do i want to rake back my pre game comments? No,because he was a nightmare in his previous outing and my concerns were very much justified.Despite his heroics id still want Hart in goal when it comes to the big games.
 
I wasn't one of those that thought picking Caballero would guarantee a defeat, but I was definitely of the opinion that Hart had to start. So much respect for him today though. There was so much made of his selection and to step up the way he did today in those circumstances was really impressive. Congratulations, sorry and thank you Willy.

My sentiments exactly, I doubted him playing big time but it proves how much I know. We'll done our charming man for giving big Willy his chance to shine

Perfect storyline.

I'd have been more comfortable with Joe in nets too, but Pellegrini knows Willy really well and his faith was well placed.
