We are the Kippax
...don't know anything about football to pretend to have an interest and slag off England.

Yes, we were shit, and I'm not the biggest England fan, but I know well enough to always support my team through thin and thinner. On facebook I've seen groups saying Beckham should be the manager, people saying the players shouldn't be allowed back in the country and even some woman burning her England flag. Plus all the interviews of people at places like Castlefield trying to give an expert opinion, when in fact they're just saying that the team are shite and have disgraced us.

I'm glad most City fans aren't like this, as we all seem to be a bit more realistic and understanding when we fail, and above all proud no matter what. Anyway, bring on 14th August, come on you blues!

I agree. I'm disappointed we lost, but I always think when England exit a tournament, it does get rid of a lot of football hanger-ons. It's a bit like pubs getting back to normal after the madness of New Years Eve.

I'm still really excited about this tournament. Holland/Slovakia & Brazil/Chile should be decent games. Spain/Portugal should be a cracker. Next Saturday should be Holland/Brazil as well as Argentina/Germany confirmed on Sunday.

Then the Semi Finals & Final to come.

Bring it on.

proud! what have england done in your life to make you proud, i can just about remember 66 well certainly the record back home but of all the world cups since this has to be the worst ever team, the highest paid team a team of no hope 'losers' no thanks it dosnt wash with me thank god we are out because if you think 4-1 was enough what would have argentina done to us

Agree, and it's also an opportunity to act patriotic when most people couldn't give a shit.

I'm just very , very disappointed in the manner of Englands exit today ......

i've tipped the Germans to win the trophy , but i really wanted , and expected , England to put on a worthwhile show there today .............. especially after all the shouting they've been doing since the Slovenia win ..........yet right from the start i just didn't really see one .

Okay Lampard was unlucky on a couple of occasions , especially with the 'goal' that should have stood .... but in truth we were soundly beaten , and it could probably have been by more goals truth be told.

Those returning players have let this nation down , and they should hang their heads ....... and so should the manager

as for the rest of us , we must all reaslise that there's no going back now and move on.

I agree totally. The responses on here have been largely insightful and well thought-out. I'm sure the same could be said for other clubs forums too.
But in tomorrows papers columnists who get paid a great deal of money will talk utter shite and I'm dreading the pub tomorrow where everyone will parrot the shite and pass it off as their opinion.

thats a funny one that, i agree with you entirely. if these people hear you making constructive critisism they think you are against the team and your country, until it goes tits up and they burn flags and stamp on thier shirts etc, yet id never do that regardless of how they played
