The worst things human beings do.

C'mon you know that posters local and far flung come on here mainly to spout left wing politics again local or far flung with very little mention of football in their posting history amounting to thousands of posts.
Well Mike I feel you are having a real pop at me with this post.

I'm not left wing politically and I don't spout left-wing politics.
Next time you troll through my posting history can you point out the threads or posts where I have spouted left-wing politics.
I firmly believe in the capitalist system and I firmly believe in people who start businesses and are successful. Many of whom carry out their practices in an ethical manner, the ones I am against are the mega rich all powerful super billionaires who are entirely unethical in the practices and their effect on society and manipulation of government policies.
As regards your other criticism about the nature of my posts I agree that a bigger percentage are made in the off topic forum.
I do avidly read the football forums but most matches are played whilst I am asleep here in Australia, most things that I would say about games or players have already been said by other posters in those threads and there is little sense in me just repeating what has already been said by others.

My post was the most sweeping of general statements and not aimed you at all. It was a comment to Blue Mist with whom l often agree on many matters but the fact he was in discussion with you was coincidence and certainly not aimed at you.
Blue Moon does have a number of very political posters and l find it rather amusing that so many come to a football forum to air their politics on any matter in any country but never about football. Many hold broadly left wing views but certainly not all. Please know that l was not having a pop at you.
I know what you mean about not commentating on football matters because of them being 'old news'. I am rather closer to Manchester than you by about 10000 miles but various things recently have made me less interested in football performances, tactics etc. I watched last nights match on my laptop linkef to my tv screen. Poor stream, poorer tv picture, constant buffering problems but once we had finished at 8pm l had my tea and forgot football. After a nights sleep l woke and on the local news was the pleasing news that Liverpool had been beaten at home by a team that their EUFA mates think are not good enough for the competition. The score not mentioned on national news though.

The worst thing humans do?
Having a go at anyone that is successful instead of trying to do something about it themselves.

We all know that this has been tried and failed, billionaires pay less tax than school teachers in many cases.
Governments such as the UK conservative government are not going to slug them heavily when billionaires actually finance the government and help it to win power.
In other words governments are 'bought' by billionaires.
Boris Johnson & company are in power because of billionaire's supporting their coffers and financing them completely.
There is absolutely no way Boris is going to bite the hand that feeds him and his party.

The latest figures from the Electoral Commission reveal that three out of the four largest individual donations to the Tory party came from British billionaires.
Well yes, but it is still about political will. There is very little effort into collecting finance from small donors. My local rugby club has 10,000 social members out of a pop of about 14,000. The local con club is closed. There is no labour or liberal club.
We need a complete rethink about how politics is done. If, eg, donations were capped at a lowish level, relying on billionaires would be stupid. To succeed, politics would need to be far more responsive to local needs. Even my local Tory MP admits that it is well nigh impossible to get govs of any party to address the problems hereabouts and, of course, local gov has little power.
I can dream, can't I?

Only Americans think the bottom picture is a muffin, you heathen
And Wannabe Yanquis, squirty! Too much Americanisation when we have perfectly good terms this side of the Atlantic. I am a frequent visitor to a wide range of cafes, but I shan't be buying a sponge-like confection until they call 'em buns! Fuckin' muffins my arse!

These two characters set the bar pretty low tbf

Never knew that paedo guy got murdered. There's still a documentary about him on iplayer.

Can anyone lend me the world's smallest violin?
