Not at Arsenal he wont be! Should get this done as has Champs League experience. It would seriously mess up Wenger too!

I might be on my own here but I don't see the point in signing Walcott. His biggest asset is his pace but teams play such a deep line against us he won't be able to utilise it. I can't see many situations where he'd get a game.

Interesting that, and it's a bit chicken and egg too.

We press a lot, and as you say, that means team defending deep against us. He might (at a push) make the runs Johnson used to (and should have carried on doing) into the box... we have a distinct lack of players who'll run at defenders into the box.... we like to pass it through (with a lot of frustration).

IF we had some pace - then we might be tempted to sit back a little and play a counter attack game more.
This was something United used to do, and were electric at it... sheer pace was frightening (many years ago).

I've often thought that sitting back and letting Tevez + a pacy winger break would be great... if you can feed a ball through (or over) into a tonne of empty space, it's a straight sprint to the ball ;-)

Sounds good in my mind... quite a bit harder in reality I expect.

Has bags of pace could work well in our side but I'm not keen on him. If Mancini wants him I'll stand by him he knows his job better than us. Would however rather have Walcott than Sinclair.
