As for Mr Manford, much as I have great respect for his allegiences, he aint fooking Hans Gruber, and he hasn't got Bruce Willis on speed dial!!!!!!!

In truth, I find Jase about as funny as Mary Seacole with a cholera jab.

I wouldnt say that Prince of Thieves was a turkey Tolmie. I guess people associate it with that fooking Bryan Adams dross and of course Costner.
But the film is fantastic and Alan's Sheriff of Nottingham has gone down as one of the best screen-villains in cinema history.
And I say all that as someone who's hardly a fan of mainstream popcorn stuff.

I recall straight after doing either Die Hard or Robin Hood (cant remember which) Alan was getting offered loads of big jobs and was very much in demand in Hollywood. Yet he chose to work in a small theatre in Barnsley (I think) doing a play for about 200 quid a week for about six months.
A top top man I reckon.

I think its time we stopped trying to guess his username and use other tactics.

I wasn't labelling Robin Hood a Turkey film, basically saying to someone else to limit the obvious sarcastic abuse.

Your reference to his work in Barnsley, maybe makes me understand a little more how such a famous Hollywood actor can find himself excitedly referencing our beloved club.

For what it's worth, he will always be known as Hans Gruber for me, typecast, but what a character to be associated with?

It hardly did Pacino any harm in Scarface, did it!
