But to perhaps establish some common ground or purpose and because I can respect anyone's views even if I disagree with them, I thought of an idea.

No one wants to see unwanted deaths.
My belief is that historically and also in the modern day, that private ownership of guns has saved more lives than gun confiscation has. Let's try and calculate whether guns or gun confiscation has resulted in the most deaths.

Surely, the greatest good is what we both want.
