I was going off what de gea wrote on the u21 final match ball to him.."see you in Manchester"

If he was going to the rags would it not say see you in Trafford a town on the outskirts of Manchester ?

Haha, your right....but it could mean anything, that's why I asked if we have ever been in for him.

I'd guess at this being a done deal. Theres too many places calling it with the same or very similar info.

Either that or its all snowballed from one report which is not entirely unlikely.

So to sum up i'm not really sure...

Stick me on that list as well.

Its running out of room. I think 99% of the board is on it.

Thinking about it logically the Premier League squad rules would probably dictate that we might have to pass on this one. It is easy said than done to make room in our squad for Thiago.

Would probably have taken too long to add "after picking your goals out of the net at the Etihad"

If they really rated him, they would just offer him a better deal now, with increaed wages & an even lower release clause should he fail to be picked in a sufficient number of games next season.

At 22, they would be trying to sign him, not let him go. Fabregas was 16 when he left, not 22.

If they let him go, it's because they don't rate him highly enough.

Being "not good enough" for Barca (which he is) isn't the way to judge a player.

It'll do for me.
They're not letting him go anywhere. They have no choice in the matter. Most Barca leaks regarding Thiago involve them trying desperately to get him to reconsider signing a new deal with more money and even better guarantees of playing time. He's flat out told them no according to reports. He wants playing time and he's more than once stated in interviews that he isn't particularly attached to Barca. He feels he can win anywhere.

Trafford isn't a town and it's not on the outskirts of Manchester.

Man United are favourites to sign Thiago. City also option. Rejected Madrid. Lot of competition at Bayern. Barcelona want fast decision [md]

&

Man United have contacted the entourage of Thiago. They offer him a huge pay rise (Xavi-Iniesta salary) and to be starter from day one. [as]

From this morning. Seems like we're still in for him but united are willing to pay an absurd salary and guarantee he's a starter from day 1

That seems to be the case. Too many individual entities are stating it for there to be no basis. My guess is at the very least we've contacted him and his reps. Probably the wage demands and guarantees of starting time... pardon the expression... blew us out of the water.
