Thiago Alcantara

Thiago will spend 2 years at United.. And then he'll be back at Barca replacing Xavi.

This is basically the Piqué situation all over again for them.

Yeah but Bebe will be ready then, they are not going away.

I doubt it. He doesn't have that connection with Barca like Pique or Fabregas. They may twist his head though, you never know. Still, if he gets regular game time wherever he goes it's hard to see him going back to Barca in a few hours. I'm 100% positive that in 2 years time they WILL start talking how they want him back etc. etc. but it won't happen.

To the United fan, like Marvin replied to you your team plays with wingers and the style you adopt is pretty much "kick and rush wingers" like you said. Whenever I've watched you guys play it's been like that. Long balls to the strikers, or a winger picks the ball up and of course you know what happens after that. This is why most on here think Thiago won't be good in your system. He is used to the tiki-taka playing style and it will be extremely hard for him to play like you do. Kagawa is the perfect example. He was a top player at Dortmund, and is barely seen at United if I'm not mistaken. Players like that just don't suit your style of play, Strootman I reckon will be more suited.

He's been with Barca since he was 13. I'm not sure how much closer one can get to a club.

Exactly! I was saying this yesterday, he is connected to Barca and when they release to the press they are interested in a few seasons and tap him up he will push for a move back. He has potential but when he starts to reach it Barca will get him and that is where he will play his best football. I can't see any other outcome, he already improves united but I wouldn't see him starting as much for us and he wouldnt stay around for that long.

Barca won't want him back.

Utd's midfield of Kagawa, Thiago & Carrick trying to catch Yaya & Fernandinho should be very interesting.

Unfortunately, I think they will keep Rooney, who will drop back & help, but if he goes as well, woah.

... They'll buy him back if he develops. He looks out of his depth sometimes against physical opposition.

Good buy for United but don't get why we are not trying to sign him
How do you know were not?

Because we have not put a bid in and he is about to sign for that lot

How do you know we haven't put a bid in?
How do you know he is about to sign for them?

If they really rated him, they would just offer him a better deal now, with increaed wages & an even lower release clause should he fail to be picked in a sufficient number of games next season.

At 22, they would be trying to sign him, not let him go. Fabregas was 16 when he left, not 22.

If they let him go, it's because they don't rate him highly enough.

They dont want to sell thiago, Xavi and iniesta are in decline and he is the perfect replacement, been there since 13, his grandfather a club legend. I can see them breaking the fax machine and having network issues until the end of July
