If it were us sigining him I know for a fact, me included everyone on here would be buzzing.

Err No you class a player as one of the best young players in the world who has been in a top side for 2 seasons and being influential in that team!

I say though he is a top talent and he was very influential in the u21 where he feels very comfortable the scum have a very good player if he signs for them we will see if he will become a world class player..

Don't know if you recall, but we signed a Barcelona "cast off" not so long ago. Didn't end too badly for us did it? Barcelona don't even want Thiago to leave, its been pretty much his choice to not sign a new contract, so he's hardly a cast off anyway.

Let's not pretend like this guy isn't a very good player. He will improve them tremendously in the middle of the park and if they start playing proper football, he and kagawa could be a pretty formidable midfield. If they go out and buy a mobile defensive midfielder, I would be worried.

He may be a top young player but he is totally unproven at the top level and definately not in the prem. he wants games which puts immediate pressure on Moyes to get him in the team.

I'm not worried about this one, he may turn out great but at 17 mill for a 22 YO it's not like they are getting him for 5 mill.

There must be a reason he doesn't get more games for Barca its not like they can't afford to rest Xavi and iniesta now and again

It's not down to injuries at all. If it was purely down to injuries, he would be staying for sure. When he plays for Barca, they are not usually as good as when he doesn't play. The person, or persons, who make way for him are all better than him. He may get much better, but he may not, as he is already 22 years old, not 20.

Balotelli for instance, is way ahead of him & not much older.

People on here are making out he's like fucking Superman & does everything.

He's neat and tidy, clever, takes a very nice free kick, which we lack, but not much of an engine, can't tackle very well, & doesn't score many goals.

If Utd sign him, they gain a nice intelligent flair player in centre mid, & a fucking big hole for Yaya Toure to run through.

Its a g8 buy for neighbours....bit disappointed we hvnt had more signing like Nastasić who have resale value...We have being making loss on our players....Tevez for eg was sold for 12 and we are paying around 20 for Negredo ....We cldnt even cash in on Baletolli

Have you tried looking at it from the players point of view. He wants playing time, its the reason he hasn't signed a new contract with Barca. If he takes a look at the midfields of City and the rags where is he more likely to get playing time?? Its obvious its the rags. Even if we wanted to sign him he's more likely to sign for the rags.
