Spent more time hugging Ribery and mouthing at the ref than actually playing tonight, no thanks

Just like when you were adamant pep wouldn't leave the mighty bayern for us and he will never sign an extension and he is,you never learn

I never told that as absolutely as you seem to have taken that. And a lot of the arguments you lot name today why Pep will sign an extension are exactly the same I did when I thought he might do that at Bayern. But just because I might have overestimated the fact that Pep seemed to enjoy his time in Munich - and that is what I based my opinion on (and he never told something else and still is a close friend to e.g. Hoeneß) does not mean that I am wrong with other things. I never told that he would not join you somewhen - it just looked like he would extend another year.

If I would argue like you I would ask the following: You are talking here about Thiago and some other Bayern players for years and question my opinion about that - but until now I do not see any of this players in your squad... Why?

We exchange opinions here based on the knowledge we have - or? Probabilities because of the knowledge and opinion we have based on what we see. I sure can be wrong - but actually I have been right the most of the time. Not always - but who has?

Some months ago Heynckes has given his opinion about Emre Can when asked in a press conference. Some english journalist probably got a wrong translation of it but the essence of it was that Emre Can is not FC Bayern material... There is atleast 3 (with Sanches four) players that can cover a somewhat b2b-midfielder - actually in a lot of matches we play without one. As a holding midfielder he is not good enough for Bayern. The club was not really satisfied with his development and his behaviour in the last 2 years at Bayern. The Can to Bayern rumours of the English media even do not make sense if you believe Bayern wants to have everybody that does not cost anything. His playing style fits a lot of other clubs in Germany much more - but I guess they do not want to pay what he wants to have paid.

Maybe I should put a disclaimer here - that is my opinion from all my informations and impressions I have - there is a chance I could be totally wrong even if I doubt it...

Thank you, that was very interesting and informative

I didn't watch the whole game, but it appeared he played as a single pivot against Real. Which would validate our interest.

We know that Thiago is up for grabs at the right price, and he's just about the same age as Gundogan. Would anyone like a possible swap between the two, provided we don't pay up more than 20-25m in addition to the player?

We know Guardiola's likes Thiago, and has worked with him before. He's definitely an excellent midfielder and he'd fit in right like he's at home.

Also, if anyone's not in favour of this idea, I'd love to know why?
