Things I learned this weekend

Can i also add that those who thought we were being paranoid about the press hating us then yesterday and this mornings press does prove there is an agenda against us. The cosy cartel is going to be broken into and, to quote Private Jones from Dad's Army......They don't like it up 'em!!!

I think you've kind of missed the point there mate.

the reason Adebayor is all over the papers is because we so high profile.

It has happened to the "top four" for years - remember Drigba last year, for example.

I take the national attention on Adebayor as proof that the "top four" is now the "top five"

nice to see us a not an easy pushover, very pleasing. Hope im not premature but i expect a good showing next week at the swamp

But some of it Dave is just malicious. Nothing made of the Dutch rapist effing and jeffing when he scored and ran to our fans and the amount of times Ade was nearly cut in half from some of their tackles. Personally i'm enjoying it as i'm of the opinion of Oscar Wilde 'It's better to be talked about that note tallked about at all'

We are good enough to finish in the top 4
We have strength in depth
Bellamy is better than Tevez
De Jong is a top class holding midfielder
Adebayor is the best striker the club have had in decades
Ireland is not playing well
Richards is back to his best
Mark Hughes is getting things right every week
We are more dangerous from set pieces than we have been in many years
We can defend set pieces better than he have in years
We are good enough to win at Old Trafford
Any on-field disciplinary issues will be magnified as we are so high profile now
Hughes is going to have his work cut out keeping everyone happy
We have a team who can defend as well as attack
Shay Given is the best in the premier league
We are not far away from title contenders

I'd like to add..........

It's still a fecking nightmare trying to buy a beer
Yes get your priorities right city

I learnt that Adebayor has marvellous hearing. He followed my instructions to "go on Ade, go on, go and f***ing tell 'em Ade", to the letter.

Can Wayne Bridge get a shout out? I wrote him off a bit last season, but he has looked brilliant so far this season.

The Arsenal game, for me, highlighted how great our work in January was - De Jong, Given, Bellamy and Bridge were all fantastic.

I think Bridge has been immense this season so far! was nearly writing him off after last year but definately think Barry has helped him out

Ade is not just the best striker we have had for decades he could turn out to be the best striker we have ever had. Even in the Bell, Sumerbee, Lee era we did not have a striker who could get us 25+ goals a season on a regular basis.

that's a really good point, Liam. They were the boys who shone.

Bridge has been fantastic all year, full of energy and running. I have rated him since he arrived and I'm glad he's shutting up the boo-boys.
