Things that never really took off

Still lost
It's hard to see the damage Microsoft took on that one.
Was that what he said?

No. He said they backed the wrong horse.

If I stuck £20 on "Hey Billy Boy" on the 3:30 at Hexam tomorrow and he lost, falling on his 3 legged arse, you'd be hard pressed to see the damage it did to me but it wouldn't change the fact that I had "backed the wrong horse".

Lulz, and you accuse me of being moody? Could you please explain to me why Microsoft didn't just include HD DVD in the Xbox. If that happens, HD DVD wins as it would have outsold Blu-Ray. They didn't back the wrong horse, they didn't give a shit about the horse. They had nothing invested in it. They basically didn't back it. They threw nothing behind it at all.

They didn't. Sony was just more committed to Blu-Ray and sold PS3s at a loss to ensure victory in a format war. If you play poker, Sony was all-in whereas Microsoft was playing pot odds with a drawing hand.

Well and Blu Ray was better
