Things to see and do in New York

Trump Tower is near Central Park though.
Remember tipping is customary so keep some small notes handy.
Trump Tower is incredibly tacky, just like Trump actually. Went in last time I was there (2019 I think) just to see the public toilets! Dunno if it's the same but the gift shop was rammed with tat all made in China!

In addition to those mentioned…
Chill with a coffee and watch the Boules in Bryant Park.
Visit Coney Island

Circle Line boat tour all around Manhattan. Three hours. From the Piers on the far West Side, 40th - 42nd St.
Ellis Island Immigration Museum, boat from Battery Park. But don't get off at the Statue, the lines to go up are too long.
Broadway show.
Riverside Park, walk by the side of the river from around 72nd to 96th (or reverse.)
Greenwich Village. West is fine, East Village is funkier.
Avoid Times Square (except for going to a show), just too touristy.
Ride the 7 train out to Flushing.
Trump Tower is on Fifth Avenue & 56th.(But don't stand there taking pictures like the group of fuckers who were blocking the street this morning. Just go up to the doorman and ask "Excuse me, does your boss prefer little girls or little boys?)

Hudson Yards is cool. If you buy a round at the bar at the top of the edge then you don't need to buy a ticket to go on the viewing deck.

Me and Mrs Tach are planning a 4 day visit for later in the year.

Mrs Tach is an artist, so these are definitely on our list.
Top of the Rock/MoMA dual ticket
Guggenheim
New York Met

Greenwich village is also on our list, and I'm also going to try and sneak in a quick visits to Ghostbusters Spook Central and Firehouse movie locations, and if we get chance, a trip on the Staten Island ferry.

new york botanical garden ,worth it for the train ride

Top of the Rock is great. The lift has a glass ceiling and you can look right up the liftshaft which seems never-ending!
