Thwaites Best Mild used to be gorgeous. Pretty sure it isn't even brewed these days. The odd pub that sells mild only seems to do the fizzy keg piss version.
Not like the old Chester's fighting mild.
Was in Skipton a couple of years ago, pub had Timothy Taylor's dark mild which was decent, hadnt had mild in years.

The Mitre in Blackpool does a Theakstones one, never had it and a super pint of best bitter by them which I have had on numerous occasions.
 
Love thy neighbour doesn't tend to be on telly anymore. Patrick Truman is still going strong though. What a legend.

Seem to remember Wilsons mild was a decent pint considering it came from the Watneys stable

It was one of those beers that - if well kept - was superb. There used to be a pub called the George and Dragon in town, and the landlord kept it perfectly.

But you could go to some pubs, and it would be like vinegar.
