My savings and pension pot.
Nostalgia.
The older I get the less I understand hankering for a time gone by that wasn't as good as people say.
Same here. Back in the day I had fun times, but I also remember the downsides.Got to say that the majority of my friends and ex colleagues are stuck in the past. Their musical tastes haven't moved on for 30 years and they are constantly reminiscing about the past.
I try to enjoy and embrace the present. I'm still seeking out new bands, trying to visit new places, trying new food and drink and experiencing new activities.
Apart from our games, I seldom bothered with the group stage games. In September, most people would have pretty much the same 16 to go through. Yes; you get the occasional Copenhagen (LOL), but not very often, let's be honest. Will the new format improve things? Hmm; we'll see.The Champions League. I was so excited when we qualified for the first time but now don’t care about it too much. It was the first cup scheme I dropped too as the whole thing is an overrated circus.
Same. 20 minutes on a bike now, and I'd be aching in all sorts of places for days afterwards. Places I never knew I had. Can’t remember that last time I rode a bicycle, must be going on 40 odd years ago.
Same, if it didn’t have a padded seat I’d be in trouble :)Same. 20 minutes on a bike now, and I'd be aching in all sorts of places for days afterwards. Places I never knew I had.
Agree with all of that, with the exception of new bands. I still love the excitement of hearing a great new tune which I come across now and again, but actual bands, nah, not fussed.Got to say that the majority of my friends and ex colleagues are stuck in the past.
