You’re lucky you didn’t get a pizza.I ordered an Americano in Italy, thinking it would be a coffee with a bit of milk/cream and one sugar.
The miserable **** was beside himself when I asked for some milk.
I thought that was a coffee with a shitload om steamed milk. Not surprised considering you specifically asked for a black coffee! Latte is what you meant to order.
In its original form, 1920's it was hospital for the poor and known as Davyhulme Hospital. It then treated soldiers injured in the second World War and may have still been called Davyhulme Hospital.Didn't it become Davyhulme Hospital in between Park and Trafford?
Batters.
That’s posh. We called them pumps (even when trainers came out everyone called them pumps too).Plimsolls
Indeed. That pisses me off big time. Should be batsman/men, even in the women's game.
I worked with an Italian in a cafe years ago and she said they call Americanos muddy water in Italy and she would only have a cappuccino before 1pm made to a certain temperature. I don't get what the snobbery is about it's not as if coffee is actually from Italy. She never liked it when I said that lolI ordered an Americano in Italy, thinking it would be a coffee with a bit of milk/cream and one sugar.
