I say "skimmed milk latte please", they say "skinny latte yeah" and I say "yeah skimmed milk latte mate"

I wouldn't even entertain that. Latte means milk in Italian, so there's no way I'm asking for a skimmed milk milk.
Ask for a milky coffee, if they get arsey just smash up the place
