Things you refuse to call by their new name

Didn't it become Davyhulme Hospital in between Park and Trafford?
In its original form, 1920's it was hospital for the poor and known as Davyhulme Hospital. It then treated soldiers injured in the second World War and may have still been called Davyhulme Hospital.
I don't know why Bevan chose it as his flagship NHS hospital but he had it developed and its name changed then.
I'm on going to see my mam shortly and I'm going to ask her why I wasn't born there.

I ordered an Americano in Italy, thinking it would be a coffee with a bit of milk/cream and one sugar.
The miserable **** was beside himself when I asked for some milk.
I worked with an Italian in a cafe years ago and she said they call Americanos muddy water in Italy and she would only have a cappuccino before 1pm made to a certain temperature. I don't get what the snobbery is about it's not as if coffee is actually from Italy. She never liked it when I said that lol

I thought that was a coffee with a shitload om steamed milk.
I just looked at all the different coffees and apparently the one that I'm drinking now doesn't exist.

I know but in a coffeeshop abroad It is the closest to an instant coffee you would make at home. You can ask for an Americano with milk like you did but the Italian barista WILL look at you like you walked in their house on Christmas day and pissed on the presents.

Adding cold milk to hot drinks just isn't done on the continent. They look at me like I'm an alien when I make an English cup of tea in the Amsterdam coffeeshops lol
