Across the board, home fans in an English atmosphere, are a lot more boring than any other sort of atmosphere because they simply don't make an atmosphere most of the time. the dortmund fans at city this season were so monotone it was boring. that being said the english atmosphere style may be better but the atmospheres in england are poor at the moment.
the best way to improve it is safe standing, so people can stand with mates etc.
I'm not saying we should have those things (I wouldn't want them) but are they any worse than having absolutely nothing? Our away atmosphere has always been good. Our home atmosphere is very hit and miss and sorely in need of a kick start though.
Not sure if this is the right kick start, however.
