Sky sports have just said that City have posted record profits and are in the top six earning football clubs in the world. Also stated that City will meet ffp.

Record profits?

Record profits?

Club record turnover, I assume he means.

I did think it strange that we'd announce the financial results on the same day as the Melbourne deal

Thought this thread might deserve a little bump.
if deloittes have their figures right we're alright so why not?
Did anyone seriously doubt we would be?
Not really no, but it's nice to be slightly less worried.
Big round of applause for Glick and Soriano is merited by the way, take out the IP sale and we've achieved near £40m growth on top of £230m, that's 17.39% growth sustained on top of a good growth the year before.

That Ed Thompson cock womble has a little say in the dailymail that we have cashed in next seasons season tickets to make up our match day revenue

Ed Thompson, the FFP commentator and analyst, said: ‘It could be that they have taken out a mortgage against one year’s advance match day income. It is certainly a baffling figure.’

I didn't hear that we had met ffp - their expert just said UEFA would be looking at all the clubs in that respect

Can someone tell me if New York City & Melbourne Hearts will be included in Manchester City's future turnover?
I'd have thought they would be as they are owned by Manchester City.

the club really should sue him, this continual venomous barrage of slurs damages our brand. besides, why would we take out a mortgage? we've no problems with cash flow and capital on a loan isn't income anyway, the ignorant little snake.

This is hardly surprising. Expect to be increasingly baffled in the years ahead, Ed.

I think he's got an open invite, but don't hold your breath.

What was evident about this Ed Thompson guy a long time ago is that he has some pretty major gaps in his knowledge about FFP that you'd expect a proper 'expert' to know. Amazing that nowadays someone who's as ignorant as that about a topic can simply set up a website named to suggest that it's an authoritative resource and then be treated by national newspapers as a fount of all knowledge on the subject. I find it bewildering, really.

It's a baffling figure to you, Ed, because you have absolutely no idea what your looking at and talking about. You're an insurance salesman for HSBC, stick to what you know you deluded rag.

The most baffling figure at the moment, and this should really concern you, is the £37m your beloved MUFC are paying for Mata.
