Staggering images below. The park round the corner from me is totally trashed as well, and that's not after a music festival. Just the summer holidays. Dunno what's happened to the kids of our civilized nation. I remember when we used to drink in the park as teenagers, we always took the evidence with us coz we didn't want to get caught! Kid's nowadays don't give a fook. They will drop a pizza box on the street and carry on chatting to their mates like it's a perfectly normal thing to do. We don't even have a McDonalds round here, but there's McDonalds food cartons lobbed everywhere. This means that lads are driving to Urmston, picking up the food and then driving back to where they live and chucking the waste out of the car window. Talk about shitting on your own doorstep! I would be gutted if my kids turned out like that. Gutted.

My son went to the Leeds festival last week. My missus went to pick him up, she said it was left a disgusting shit heap with hundreds of wellies, among other things, strewn across the road where they obv couldn't be arsed sticking them in a bag and taking them home.

it's good for the cleaning companies.

if somebodies getting work out of it then who cares?

BY NUMBERS
90,000 people per day attending
£250 - price of an all-weekend ticket
£14.99 - current price of cheapest pop-up ‘festival tent’ at Argos
200 ‘green messengers’ promoting recycling
4,000 recycling bags distributed
20p returnable deposit on plastic bottles
6 tons of cardboard cups and containers for recycling
150 tons of rubbish estimated to have been left behind
101 reported crimes and 51 arrests
1 million pints of lager consumed
500 to 1,000 items handed to lost & found each year
650 (female only) portable toilets; 100 male.

The 20p returnable on plastic bottles is a good deal, would have been a few quid to be had there on the last day.

Compare it with the Burning Man festival..the whole ethos is that not a trace is left behind..pretty amazing considering the volume of people that attend

Glastonbury was a bit of a mess when we left there. However, there was 150,000 people and by the end the bins were overflowing, but still, at least people put their rubbish near the bins. It was no way near as bad as those pictures there.
