I'm not disputing that we couldn't of had a better transfer window as we clearly could have but it wasn't exactly the disaster a lot of people on here are making it out to be. Last season we had a title winning squad and we have improved that and if we have a poor season this year it won't be because we failed to sign Hazard or RVP it will be because Mancini will have fucked up plain and simple. We still have the best team in the league.

Just out of curiosity if we had signed RVP and Hazard would you still think that we could of had a better transfer window because we didn't sign Messi and Ronaldo?

So we've got a better squad, I'd say, but there are still some problem areas that need to be addressed, like Kolo Toure.

I like the Lara we've signed but they are make do's.

that's exactly it, other clubs seem to get good players for decent fees(Shaqiri, Reus, Cazorla, Dembele, Vertonghen, Moses, Azpilicueta, Sahin, Kagawa, Hoilett, Granero, Mbia, Ramirez, Alba, Romulo, Gago, Canales, Matias Fernandez, Cassano, Pereira, Afellay, Diarra to name but a few) all went on loan or for reasonable fees, there's some in there who would have strengthened our squad more than what we got, if they can do it why can't we?

Not sure they were on Mancini's hit list but I get what you are saying. Picking up top prospects who aren't on everyone else's radar makes good business, especially if FFP bites. How good is our scouting system I wonder?
