Definitely no red for that. You can't send people off just for intent, a yellow at worst. Had he made contact though then its clearly a red and I think the ref thought he did make contact.

The ball was nowhere near and Coloccini's studs were knee high and aimed at Suarez, just because his timing was shit doesn't mean he should escape a red card.

We all know that we shouldn't use the Kompany incident as a reference point as that sending off was as stupid as they come. It was only Rooney waving those imaginary cards at the ref that made his mind up. We need to put that incident down to us having our collective pants pulled down and been bent over.
