This weekends other games 24 & 25 November

Villa are doing okay so far.

...WHAT A MISS!...

They need to take their chance when it comes though, they won't get many. (Can't let someone ghost in unmarked to shoot though!)

I would suggest that "goals" in the Villa team would be a considerable contribution, from what I saw last week, he's not the only one who doesn't close down, pass well, or work hard.

Football is about goals primarily, and Bent will score them, something Villa struggle with, currently joint worst in the PL.

That's true.

Yeah apart from Ireland, none of them were getting stuck in or closing down at all alert week.

I've just thought; Bent was made captain when Lambert first went to Villa, then he had the captaincy taken away from him and he's barely played since. Something must have gone on between them or with Bent and a teammate or another member of the management team.

Maybe he gave Bent the captaincy as a prelude to marginalising him, bent is one of Villa's best and most experienced players so we would naturally be a contender , but his flaws are well documented.
If Lambert goes there and ignores him straight away then he'll get stick for getting rid of the one of the only goal scorers in the squad, but if he gives him a chance and when he does n't adapt his game to something more fitting for a team scrapping against relegation i.e. something more like Grant Holt. Then he can cast him out for the good of the team get plaudits from the fans and cut the wage bill in January satisfying the direction the owner wants to go in; Cutting back drastically on costs, Delfounso is out on loan whilst £500K League two export Jordan Bowery is on the bench.
 
I wonder which clubs would be interested in Bent. I guess he won't come cheap.

Be surprised if he is at Villa come February.
