What's going on with Newcastle? Such a great run last season..
They well over achieved. They have completely fallen apart now. The Europa league will be a huge hindrance to them as well.Cielo Azzurro said:What's going on with Newcastle? Such a great run last season..

I think west brom look a lot more solid as a unit. Newcastle played very openly and were always prone to conceding a fair amount. They also seemed to score a lot of individual goals whereas west brom are more about the team play. I would suggest west brom will finish about 7th or 8th and will probably finish about there next season.Ducado said:davymcfc said:They well over achieved. They have completely fallen apart now. I tend to agree, last season was a fluke their owner topped it all by giving the manager an extended contract, it's been all downhill since, shame really it was nice to see them up there mixing it with rest, West Brom are having a flukey first half of the season, I will give them until Christmas to start falling apart
I'll have an apology off the lot of you that said they'd finish in the top 6. ;)MCFC BOB said:I think they'll finish either 7th, 8th, 9th or 10th. No lower, no higher.TFC said:MCFC BOB said:I am too. But I'm finding it a little ridiculous that, once again, because a team has started well people are getting excited and saying they're going to challenge for the top 4 ffs. If you look at the difference between West Brom's team and the rest of the top 4 you can see who's going to deliver the goods when the going gets tough.
Fair dos, I'll stand by my comfortably top half prediction though. The way I look at it, if they can cause Utd problems and theyve already beaten Chelsea then bring it on. Unfortunately there arent that many teams in the Prem willing to 'stand up' to the big boys anymore.
