Endless parade of above-average (at best) and mediocre (at worst) young English players.

Jordan Henderson being the poster boy.

It's embarrassing.
These players would be worth 2-5 million pounds if they were from anywhere else.
Downing is a prime example.

I agree, but at least Downing (as shown today) can play multiple positions, while Henderson can barely play one... On a good afternoon.

Can't believe Swansea got Hernandez for so cheap. He was brilliant at Valencia, a little inconsistent but the quality was always there .

I genuinely think downing is where he is, solely because he's left footed.
Can't argue with henderson, completely one dimensional footballer.

Can't believe Swansea got Hernandez for so cheap. He was brilliant at Valencia, a little inconsistent but the quality was always there .

I wanted us to put in a 10 million dollar bid in the summer (we already have a fairly good relationship with Valencia). He would have been a great bench signing and could have grown into a starting performer. Not to mention David, Javi, and Denis would welcome him.

Badly is a stretch.

I like to refer to that level of play as "Liverpool-grade", personally.
