"£88m. That is roughly what it cost Manchester United to bring Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie to the club. They come away with just one shot on target for that investment.

For all the talk of the need to rebuild, there are a lot of expensive raw materials going to waste in this United side."

From BBC Sport. Finally, some parts of the media are beginning to criticise their spending as well.

R u sure they spent that I thought the granny shagger and the rapist came through youth team

Davey will be lucky if he's still in a job tomorrow worst united performance for many a year that, bet they don't play like that against us.
No reason why not. They see Liverpool as much as a rival as us. If they can't get up for that then they have problems. As we saw.

I would say that it's more a dig at Moyse, he spent £60 million of that, also Sky showing the "David Moyse football genius" banner being held up by the scousers, are the media turning the screw on wee Davy, hoping he gets the bullet from their beloved Rags

In injury time, the Sky commentator was banging on about the support 'sticking with Moyes'. 'Home & away' chirped Neville. Never mentioned that the shot of that particular section of the stadium was half empty at the time, just blithely prattled on about getting behind Moysie.

Think they also called the swamp 'old Trafford was once a theatre of dreams. Now it is the chamber of horrors' ycnmiu
