Actually, 12 from 24 is the same as 57 from 114, so they are set to finish slightly worse on points than last year.

Hmmm this true except, you do need to factor in who they have and who they have not played so far this season...

Played

Swansea
Burnley
Leicester
QPR
West ham
Everton
WBA
Sunderland

They have won three and only one of those convincingly, QPR at home FFS. Just look who they have in their next four

Chelsea (h)
City (a)
Palace(h)
Arsenal (a)

If form runs true 15points from 12 games is not good, flirting with relegation, though if their confidence isn't too battered I think they will be safe, fourth spot though... Don't think so.

LVG was actually trying to make the point that in their form was "good" having got 8points from last 12. Obviously forgetting previous games conveniently.

Based on this "good form" they would obtain 72 points for the season, therefore likely to miss out on fourth place. However, unless their form improves beyond the already " good" they may actually drop more points given the sides they have not yet played.

Thanks for looking that up. The average current table position of those teams they have played is nearly 14. Life could get much worse soon. We'll see how they spin it if they get only 1 or 2 points from the next 4 games.
