Once again, Chelsea weren't even in the equation when we were dithering over the agent fees, if we had given in to the admittedly obscene demands that were confirmed by every credible journo in the country then he would have been ours before 6th place Chelsea did the thing that gave them the extra pull - won the Champions League.
And Hazard will have a dip in form much like Silva, and every other player. You'd think Chelsea had signed Messi, Xavi and Iniesta going off here.
No, they signed a player widely recognised as one of the best young players in the world and he's showing it already. Every player dips in and out of form but it's pretty clear he is a talent of the highest quality, and that's why we were willing to pay so much for him, but weren't willing to go the extra mile to get it done quick.
