Thogden

Copying troopz? You do realise that this is the way he and many other people in this country speak haha?

I think he's YouTube subs speak for itself mate I don't think your his target demographic somehow...
Just because a lot of people speak like that, doesn't make it suddenly all the more listenable. Also a high number of subscriptions is no indicator of quality, only popularity. Two totally different things. Agree with you about me not being his target audience. FOCs won't be high on his list of potential audience members!

tbf as funny as Rory's comment was, he does explain himself and I don't think it's as bad as people make out at the time. He said he would score plenty just not at the levels people were saying because it was a new league and him being burnt(as a Chelsea fan) with strikers coming from Germany and not performing.
his point about him being a flob was just based on where people were putting the bar really high and that he wouldn't reach that height, not that he was actually going to be bad.
Just cos Haaland managed it reach the heights doesn't make it a really bad comment, you are allowed to be wrong

If he hadn't said it with such confidence I don't think people would care. I have to say it really tickles me when he refers to it as being "disrespectful to the establishment"

Haha fair enough!
I bet you had slang in your day too...

I find the new language to be fascinating as it incorporates aspects of patois, Urdu and other languages and dialects and truly reflects modern Britain. Try opening your mind to it!

Anyway back to expressions...

He's got an early series called the ex files where it was pure comedy not footy related check it out!

I know there's a couple of posters on here who do these watchalong streams on YT. And fair play to them; they're earning a few bob watching the team. It sure beats working 9 hours a day in a factory, as I do. What I can't understand is why these streams seem to be so popular. I just don't see the appeal in watching someone else watching City. The reactions afterwards (particularly utd, Spurs, Arsenal and the dippers) after they've lost can be hilarious, mind. But that's after the game. I don't think I've ever tuned in to one of those watchalong streams. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.
Alternative commentary ain't it i suppose. Think Gogglebox mixed with the old Sky Sports Fanzone

I know I personally would rather hear someone who's actually informed aout the going's on at City, style of play etc than listen to Mcmanaman, Keown or Owen chat absolute bollocks for 90 mins

Let’s face it, the standard of ‘commentary’ has become so one-sided, no wonder people watch YouTube cheerleaders rather than ex player cheerleaders

Of all of these type of vloggers I actually think Pegg (Manchester girl who supports Napoli but does a lot of City games):

And this Thogden lad actually do a great job of dispelling the myth of the Etihad being empty and having a shit atmosphere:

Their videos highlight our atmosphere really well and in many ways I think they do more than the club actually do to promote our fans, fan culture and atmosphere.

And I’d rather have them in the ground looking a right pair of Charlies talking to themselves on their phones than the miserable **** behind Thogden in that^ video in the white hoody who looks like he’d rather be anywhere else in the world than the Etihad for the biggest Premier League game of the season (he’s even sat down looking miserable as sin when the second goal goes in, at least Thogden’s getting excited).

And give me these two and their videos over the likes of the Forest fan acting as a United fan in some bunker, Arsehole TV sat in a studio or the Irish Cultists sat at home, any day. And give me these two in our ground over all the daytrippers who aren’t even interested in City winning, who are just there for the occasion or who are even fans of the opposition in the home end with their half’n’half scarves and their United merchandise bags tucked under their coats from their visit to Old Trafford and the United museum that they’ve been to earlier in the day.

Not ideal, as they push proper Blues down the pecking order and i would rather have proper Blues there, but there are far bigger issues with worse visitors to the Etihad who are also getting in ahead of proper Blues.

They need to get a press pass or f*ck off
