Thogden

I know there's a couple of posters on here who do these watchalong streams on YT. And fair play to them; they're earning a few bob watching the team. It sure beats working 9 hours a day in a factory, as I do. What I can't understand is why these streams seem to be so popular. I just don't see the appeal in watching someone else watching City. The reactions afterwards (particularly utd, Spurs, Arsenal and the dippers) after they've lost can be hilarious, mind. But that's after the game. I don't think I've ever tuned in to one of those watchalong streams. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.
To be fair isn't Soccer Saturday the original watch along?

Gogglebox is popular as well.

And there is already a youtube culture of watching people do other things, usually gaming although you do get to see the game at least

How’s this thread popped up?
Nearly 2yrs ago - let it go lads :-)
I still didn’t get the answer after all this.
Thogdad dipped his toe in and legged it

If the litte tw@t gets a FA Cup final ticket before me, i’ll be having words

Sad thing is - I can see why these YT people do it.
There is a guy called Buvey who was on The Kickoff and is now on a thing called The Club.
He shot to ‘fame’ by doing a film yourself clip of Mahrez’ penalty at Anfield 2018.
What surprised me is that I had never seen him at any City away match. You see the same faces and I had never seen him. Have never seen him at any match since then, either (His opinions and lack of knowledge make me wonder if he is an actual City fan).
He has done quite well out of it though.

Look at Mark Goldbridge. Probably the most well known United fan in the world. Despite the fact his is a Forest fan

I used to be acquaintances with his Dad Steve, he was a councillor for Trafford Borough Council years ago. Absolute top bloke, never met his lad but as far as these vloggers go he actually does a pretty decent job.

He shouldn't be getting big tickets before proper fans though, but I guess it's no different to tourists getting their hands on tickets before proper fans either

While i appriciate what this lad does, goes around and video’s games for Youtube which is entertaining.

He is a big Bolton Wanderers fan along with his dad, my queston is…. how has he managed to get a ticket in the City end for today’s game when i couldn’t?

He was also in Porto for the Champions league final when a lot of City fans couldn’t get tickets!

I am a season ticket holder with over 15,000 loyalty points and would have loved to have gone to Anfield today….

This is not a pop at him but an honest question…….how?

I’ve not seen any Youtube video’s of him at Wycombe at home or at the Charity shield?

He’s stood there, talking to his phone while City fans are singing and celebrating goals around him.

Again, how has a “You tuber” who supports Bolton Wanderers got a ticket before me for today’s game?

If this is the future, my platinum seasoncard can fuck right off as its a waste of space
A posh kid "Influencer"

He's found a niche and made money from it.

Hate the game not the player.

I’m not sure I understand! Nothing new there then when it comes to these YouTuber people but let me explain.
Is he/are they filming the whole match? If so why round where I normally sit do stewards stop people who are doing that? Numerous times they have told people they can’t do that. So how come he can and gets tickets from wherever for matches.

Puzzled of Eccles

It's usually just highlights that they will film and give little updates to the camera, I don't think anyone is allowed to film the entire game YouTuber or not
