I wonder if we're applying pressure to Arsenal? As in pointing out that Sanchez is off next year at the latest, Lemar is now your top target and has huge potential for the further, if you keep Alexis we'll snatch Thomas now and in a year you'll be stood there with your dicks in your hands wondering what could have been.

It suits us either way really, Alexis delivers the goals we need, Lemar is a very different player but ticks many boxes - we'll have one or the other.

Also if we have both Mbappe's best mates that surely bodes well for him too...

Don't think he's all that, good but not at the standard we've been signing/looking at this summer. Doesn't really fit into our squad either, we've got 1 space for a goalscorer, something a bit different from what we've already got, Lemar doesn't fit the bill.

No chance we would ever sign a player just to piss a rival off, either we genuinely we think he'll improve the squad or we're putting the squeeze on Arsenal to get the ball rolling with Alexis.
