Three more years before we start to dominate...

After decades of drought, I'm not bothered about domination. It will never happen anyway.

I'm quite happy with the way things have gone in the last few years, and I'm sure we will enjoy success in the future.

We may be lucky and win the cup final later this year, but if we don't get to Wembley, and we probably won't, we will still have next season to look forward to.

It's good being a blue at the moment, and I'm loving every minute of it.

We won't win trophies every year, it just never happens, but at least we are in with a decent shout of success these days.

Couldn't agree more

Hooray the penny is starting to drop on here.
At the moment our academy is way behind the likes of United, Chelsea, Arsneal etc. Although the the new campus is exciting we wont see results from that alone in the next 8 -10 years and even then it is still not a certainty there will be an influx of young talent good enough to help us challenge for the title. Chelsea have been signing the perceived best young talent from around the world for years but few have made it in there first team bar Bertand.

And your bit about the CL doesnt make sense as unless we progress in thee group stages we wont get a better seed and its obvious from his career that Mancini struggles in Europe.

We've been buying great talents like Suarez and Pozo though, we could easily sell them for double figures in millions if Borini at Liverpool is a kind fo example.

Pay £30m on youth at ages of 16/17, 3 years down the line pick best candidates whilst selling off others and bring in say £20m+ which comes in as revenue. That's for time being anyway, as you say we are years and years off seeing fruits of academy but once that starts pumping we're on a winner.

We actually have the best U14 team in the country at the moment so who is to say our academy won't bear fruit sooner than expected on a purely homegrown (not the ones bought from abroad) level? Depends how these kids turn out really.

By young promising players for £3-7m etc, pay good wages for age and not of which is included as FFP losses. Sell for £10+m and it counts as revenue, it's a clever move.

Transfer fees and wages for youth players aren't exempt from FFP.

You can get exemptions for infrastructure and youth players, I am sure. I remember reading we hit £95m losses but could argue that losses are pre-ffp contracts (Barry, Lescott, Tevez etc) and also what I've said.

Just googled and found an article which I've quoted.
What is more is that €18.4 million of the losses was money spent on youth and infrastructure—facets which UEFA doesn't rule against when tallying debt

The main UEFA document lists exclusions for the youth development activity and one of the exclusions is:

"Fees to obtain the registration of a youth player, such as any fees paid to
an agent or to another club;"

Scouting costs associated with youth players also can't be excluded

There is a patch of land with bull dozers on it at the moment and we should not forget it because it represents the future of our club and the end of being dominated by the red bureaucrats at the FA and UEFA.

Once we become self sustaining both financially and on the pitch with the influx of young talent our new academy will bring we will take over from the rag scumbags, the fact is at the moment we can't because the FFPR are designed to help clubs with the greatest turnovers and that eventually will include us.

We have had a taste of success and it was great but most must have known it was going to be short lived with these new rules coming in to stop us. Our owners will be rubbing their hands at the fact it was so easy and ahead of schedule for us to win the premier league.

Champions leagues are won when you are seeded and end up with an easier draw due to our lack of experience we don't get that yet but given a couple more years it will fall into place and we will start seeing progression.

The club have a plan in place they never intended to spend big this year and knew they would have to let one or two go to clear the decks the result is what it is we have not been able to compete but sometimes you have to take a step back.

All blues have been so patient for so long now so just hang on a bit longer and trust me with our magnificent owner we will only end up dominating the British game for years. Remember fergie is on his last legs and soon these rag fans will be slammed back down to earth with an inexperienced new manager.

Patience is the key it's coming.

In far fewer words, this is exactly what I am currently telling rags..... Enjoy the moment, we are going nowhere .. The day that they lose their decrepit manager is the day the playing field is levelled..... With Moyes installed they can have a taste of mediocrity

Yes. I have been saying exactly the same
