we would have had the success anyway, these players are too good. possibly even better under a different manager, hard to say. he's grown on me though, very unsure about his boring italian football at first and still does at times. the bit i really like about him is his class, he oozes it with the press, other managers and the like. i wish he'd warm to the players better, i think he'd get more out of them.

would i make a change? not in a million years.

I don't judge things based on a few small facts I see in front of me in a short space of time. So if we do go a season trophyless I'm not going to be calling for his head, like i know some will. I'm going to go with the flow and enjoy what's going on now and make decisions based on achievements and where we may improve going forward when he has answered those queries above.

But so far, so good...

Bearing in mind where Chelsea and the rest are, it is IMO very unlikely that we will finish any worse than second. So our worst-case scenario season (realistically) is that we win the community shield, get knocked out of Europe at the group stage, fail to win either domestic cup and finish second in the league.

This would doubtless have some calling for Mancini's head, but it is worth remembering that this would be exactly the same season as the pisscan had last season. Were any serious rags calling for his head then?

Best three years of my City supporting life. To win the league in his second full season really was a fantastic achievement and one hopes for many more years of success.

Should he leave or be sacked in the near future he will always be remembered as the man who brought us our fist taste of glory in over a generation. For that I and most others will be eternally grateful.
