Ticket Collection Celtic away

Why don't you both go up together for the 'craic' and when it comes to the game he can just watch it in the pub?
We are in the same situation my wife took over our daughters season ticket
I'm in a similar position in that my season ticket is in my mum's name, although she only had it for a year before I took it on and have since gone to all home games and as many aways as I can afford each season on it, so I do consider them 'my points'. But I've had to accept the pick-up system is what it is and just make the decision on whether to go on aways in Europe on how likely I am to get a ticket on my mum's (in my name) much lower point seasoncard, or whether I'm willing to just go anyway even without going to the actual game. I did that before they brought the system in for the second trip to Barca anyway as tickets for the nou camp are a rip-off and still had a good trip from what I remember - the 90mins of football are hardly the only reason to go on an away trip for most of us. Sure you'd both have a good time.

I don't agree with the system and it's annoying to miss out on what is basically an admin error that we could not have foreseen (as well as having to go through the hassle of picking up tickets in what might not be a convenient location etc) but I can see why some people like the fact it makes 'point whoring' more difficult, although it doesn't stop a similar situation happening in SOME supporters club where they allocate tickets to whoever they want from their allocation, and leave those with highest points to buy theirs directly. I said SOME supporters clubs before anyone kicks off ha ha! To believe 'points whoring' is why the system was brought in however is naïve in my opinion as if the club cared about who got tickets they would not give away so many to corporate fans and day trippers which they do for all away games, and particularly the most popular ones.

But anyway like I say, just go for the trip!

We are in the same situation my wife took over my daughters season ticket about 8 years ago we have got enough points for most away games all earned by attending games here and abroad but now we can't do it our fault I know , there must be few people in the same boat so there should be an amnesty like the rags had. Still going to Glasgow daughter and family live there so accommodation sorted

Ticket details suggest we might be giving Celtic all of SS 3rd tier. Not a good idea helping them swamp the atmosphere when they're all together like that. Less banter with the away section when your not next to them. Should be away section like in the prem, just widen it (or is this not possible? Also our 3rd tier support is normally vocal.

No it's not. The fact that you've used your holiday entitlement following city is irrelevant. I've used 12 of my measly 20 days holiday on my honeymoon meaning I couldn't do Bucharest and will also have to very economical with my remaining days in order to maybe do 3 European away games but that's also not the clubs fault.

A little bit more planning and the ticket collection is only I minor inconvenience that's helps ensure that supporters who actually qualify due to attending games over a number of years get tickets over someone who has maybe only recently decided that they want to do City away getting tickets via someone they know. Can't argue with that as it's fair.

The collection point in Paris was very inconvenient...a bit better in Madrid....but your still wasting time collecting tickets.
Wiv today's technology why don't we simply have our photo printed on the tik? Simple reason why they won't....there's two systems running....friends, family, corporates, thomas cook lot (on plane), etc....get there tiks in UK. Us home and away loyal supporters have to jump through hoops!
I disagree wiv the current system
I disagree with the system

Get in touch with the club, mate of mine had been using a mates card for years, and missed out on a CL away ticket last year due to the new rules. He got in touch, and they asked him to provide proof that he's been using the card, and a letter was all it took to transfer the name over.

Terrible idea if true unless they're giving us a similar deal. They'll drown out our singers below them and it will sound like a home game for them. The last thing we want to do is give them encouragement. An that's without factoring in the inevitable invasion into the home end.

How do the club do their dodgy "away hospitality" as if it exist it might be an option for Celtic- either that or pay 99 quid for a 3 match package in the Celtic end- at least I know I can sell on the others living not too far away. I only have 12000 points so can't imagine it getting to me (if only loyalty points existed 20 years ago when I lived in England and never missed a game)

Do you know who he spoke to?
I emailed them last season, I think before the Paris game and they said they couldn't swap the names as it would be open to abuse. They offered to change the numbers round but said all points would be wiped (!) Which I didn't take them up on!
