Ticket Loyalty Points

Sooner away tickets are on a open ballot to all season ticket holders the better.

The day those who have barely missed a match since they started tracking it, aren’t more or less guaranteed a ticket for the most popular games, will be a very sad day in club/ fan relations.

And then when this current cycle of success ends and no fucker is interested in a ballot anymore, you might find that a lot of those who were always there every week, have also lost interest.

Loads will fuck off if or when this happens.......except us daft cunts

The 18-25 thing is a ballot in effect, but even lacks that random nature, the worst of both worlds.

Lots of games have gone low this season, but the ballot boys only want the big games with zero effort.
i hate the effort jibe, most of us have gone to every game we can get a ticket for since weve been old enough to. we will never catch up and especially not now theres no points on offer. the majority of younger people on bigger points are those that have had parents that used and sometimes abused the junior pull through scheme, otherwise theres no way.

The complaints only come when a high demand game sells out with no interest shown in other games.

It took money and effort for the under 16 pull through too. You had to go to the ticket office as there was no other way until 11/12, and on the first day of sale normally.

i appreciate that, but my point is we arent all starting from the same point which i believe to be unfair for younger fans. a parents circumstances shouldn't change a younger fans "loyalty". two kids could have seasontickets for 10 years. one on platinum, one without, in the eyes of the club the platinum holder is more loyal... the whole system needs reforming.

Yep, sure you can go to southampton away on a week night in the cup but that doesn't even increase the chances of getting the popular aways even though you are putting in effort

Manchester City FC. They introduced the system !!!

Probably didn’t consider the long term consequences ,and whoever did will be long gone now from the old regime

When it first came out we weren’t always taking full allocations to all aways because we were shite. So it was to encourage people to go.

I mean proper shite!!

Now those who went back then, not necessarily to earn points are still getting tickets for this reason.

Yes it’s all about right time right place and privileges. Kids getting pull throughs building up points as some were/are very lucky

There’s others with lots more money with boxes and tables that would gazzump them in the pecking order because of

Manchester City FC

If we’re still shite this thread and all the others wouldn’t exist.

However it’s happened to change it now would be worse than the PPI. Scandal

Edit. To add to that. Stopping points was so wrong . So no one now stands a chance. I refer you to city matters on this point.

Something has materially changed this season. I have 13k points yet the cutoff in the league has come down to my level once (Chelsea). I reckon that was because it was just after Xmas and midweek. The cutoff seems to be about 18k. Naturally the cutoff goes up every year but it’s poor that I can only really have hope for a midweek match.
I suspect more tickets are going to the increased part hospitality like the Managers Corner.
A development I am not a fan of.

If people are talking of reforms the first thing that must be scrapped is the platinum / gold tickets. The £50 extra is just a scam, a money making scheme. Just because you are wealthier than someone else shouldn’t mean you have more chance of an away ticket. Next thing to go should be the selling of away tickets via an agency. Next thing should be that hospitality shouldn’t receive a guaranteed number of tickets for away games. Give them extra home tickets. Again tickets shouldn’t be linked to wealth.

Glad people have reminded me of the Wigan playoff game.
I qualified for a ticket but (holds hand up) my mate worked in the ticket office so to save me queuing he sorted me x4 tickets for me and my mates (who also qualified).
Turn up at the piemunchers and my mates all get in but they stop me and say my ticket’s fake. It’s 100% genuine but admittedly looks like a photocopy.
Ignoring the US Marines motto, my mates elect to leave a good man behind (and I was the driver!!). I’m skulking outside for a few minutes after kick off then bedlam, City fans break in en masse behind the goal, stewards and coppers react thus leaving the turnstile unattended. Quick jib and we’re in!
I loved that season and from what I recall was one of the main drivers behind ticket points coming in. I got to most E.g. Wrexham, Chesterfield, Macc, York (still got the ticket stub!) but didn’t have enough points/stubs for some such as Crewe.
Loyalty points - swings and roundabouts- I’ve got 26k points so now get first dibs on most games. Is it fair? Probably could be fairer but I travelled hundreds of miles a year for countless seasons watching some truly shite teams with no prospect of a fantasy Sheikh in sight!
