Ticket Points Sales Tracking

Glad to see the criteria amended. I sent this to the Club earlier today.

Hi both,

I'm aware that the Liverpool criteria has been released this morning.

https://dd1.io/ZKWK4l1

The immediate feedback that I have seen, and share myself, is how it would be possible for the ticket point criteria to be so high.

I understand that we develop criteria based on the level that the Club expect the game to sell out. And I also understand that the brackets will move up slightly each based on point inflation.

That said, this seems extremely higher than last season. Particularly given that, as I understand it, we have a larger allocation than last season.

In my own circumstance, the criteria will not go down to my points total. Last season, I qualified. In the meantime, I have received the maximum number of ticket points available to me (platinum membership, all cup schemes and so on). How is it possible that the criteria has grown so much?

Supporters have often raised concerns about whether the full allocation of ticket points is out on sale to supporters, and in circumstances such as these it is difficult not to share in that view.

Kind regards,

Alex

This can't be right as we were told that 60% of tickets go to points holders. I wrote to the ticket compliance manager asking why are reseller sites having away tickets made available for them which on many occasions end up with fans of other clubs and how many tickets are given to these sites for home and away games on average.

The answer I received was 'this is information that is not shared publicly'

We all know that it's because we have been lied to for many years and as many have pointed out the £50 extra to be a platinum card holder was arguably sold under false pretense. If I am on 100 points and someone is on 200 and we both are on platinum and the cup schemes I am never going to catch up. But if we are both able to purchase tickets via the points system it doesn't matter, But if the number of tickets available drops then not only am I not going to catch the person but I am unable to purchase tickets as they have run out at 150 points rather than 50 points. What's the point of going platinum other than filling the coffers of the club. If 20k SC holders go platinum it's £1m extra in the pot, enough to pay Haaland, KDB and a couple of others for a week.
Away tickets are capped at £30 by the Premier league? Any club selling away tickets at more than £30 would be breaking the agreement made imo and should be royaly fucked by the PL?

we all know at least 10% at least are not going to match going fans

last year it was ridiculous the amount of tourists that were in one block

Exactly. Plus it's always done for home games now too. They are constantly trying to make it more and more difficult for fans to stop passing tickets on to family members and friends.

It's blatantly obvious that they want to sell to third parties and corporate packages.

Same reason why they won't be releasing extra season tickets when they expansion is completed, Why would they sell more season tickets which would work out at £32.50 a ticket when they can sell a single ticket for £77. It's fucking scandalous.
Don't worry, when we're relegated the tourists will all fuck off and the club will return to releasing normal season tickets and giving most of the away allocations to points holders

Thanks to the pathetic group who fought for the points system to be abolished all so that they could get there own tickets has now meant all fans are getting done over. We all knew how stupid that group was in thinking that removing Loyalty points for away games would give everyone else a chance of getting a ticket. They were driven by selfishness and now everyone loses out.
Looking at the points for Liverpool I probably have 2 seasons left before I miss out.
Though I must add that of all the aways last year Liverpool for fans was the absolute worst. Never seen so many corporate and International fans in the away end.
So you only have yourself to blame for supporting those c*nts in changing the points system.
Dickhead. The club presented evidence tht the system was being abused, ironically by the selfishness of people buying tickets they had no intention of using just to get the points.

When there was a requirement to collect tickets for CL games, the points required for a ticket were much lower, which is further proof.

It's the people who regularly bought tickets and passed them on who are at fault, not the people who tried to make the system fairer.

Bollocks! All it achieved was making it a closed shop so the people on the highest points now can pick and choose which games they which means more tickets are now available for corporate & 3rd party sites.

At least when people who bought tickets and then passed them on, they were normally passed onto fellow blues and not tourists

It was a self serving move because you were pissed off because you couldn't get tickets for the biggest games

It was already a closed shop. People bought tickets whether they had any intention of going to a game or not. The difference was that they got the points, which enabled them to have first pick of the tickets.

And you talk about the integrity of the points system yet you say they passed on the tickets to other blues, regardless of how many points they had or even if they were even season ticket holders. Yet you'll moan about OSCs getting 2 tickets per branch and those potentially going to non-season ticket holders.

And as for that last paragraph, it's absolute bullshit. After 40 years of doing away games I'm just not that bothered anymore. The other three people were on the Ticketing working group go to pretty well every away game so there was literally zero self interest involved with them.

But still gobshites and fuckwits like you, who have no knowledge of the background or discussions, insist we made decisions based purely on self interest.

And united fans absolutely support ticket collection at away games as they're keen to ensure that only the people who get the tickets actually use them. They're complaining bitterly that united are refusing to send staff to away games to support that system.

No system will ever be fair. The real issue for me is not the point holders...its all the other streams the club give tiks to...non of these need to pick up in destination and are free to pass there tiks to whoever they want! Bottom line, less and less tiks for pont holders.

United have headhunted Berrada and Wilcoxs from us.
And we took their ticket compliance manager, so expect ballots, and further erosion of the loyalty scheme.
