Ticket prices

People selling their season tickets for one off games but at face value are surely breaking the bluemoon rules? I thought people were not meant to gain on here?

A top blue on here let me use his season card because he coulsnt make it for 20 quid yesterday. Isnt that hows its meant to be esp when you break each match down and season card holders are paying 25-30 a game tops, people on here wanting. 40-50 quid for some games.

I post tickets for sale on here for nearly every game and this kind of post is total bollocks. What would you suggest I did with the 3 spares I had for tonight when people are offering me £15, £20 for a ticket? Do you think that it's reasonable to make a loss on games that members of our family aren't able to get to having shelled out over £2grand between the four of us at the start of the season? Do you also think that, having struggled to shift the tickets for tonight, I should have let the ticket that I was selling on Sunday for the Arsenal game go for the 'face value' sum of £28.42? How is it that I could of sold that ticket a dozen times over, as will happen with the derby, the Liverpool match, the QPR match at the end of the season etc etc yet could barely give it away tonight? (tonights was advertised under someone elses username btw).
You can then add to this the risk people selling spare tickets take when they agree a price, then turn away various other potential buyers only for the buyer to call one hour before kick off saying they don't need them anymore. That is what happened to us prior to the Norwich game last month because some mug off here changed his mind, leaving us £65 out of pocket. If you don't want to pay, don't go, but if you don't fancy the less attractive games like Stoke on a Wednesday night, do'nt expect cheap seats for the big games.
Rant over.

Correct. The face value of the ticket is the cost to any individual for that game from the club.

So for Arsenal for example it's a category A game and the price of my seasoncard seat for that game is £48. If for any reason I or the wife can't go the cost of that seat is £48 (the same as from the club).

If the demand isn't there then it's the choice of the seller if they want to let it go for less but they shouldn't be expected to. Why should other fans who didn't get a seasoncard or even bother to get a ticket while they were on open sale for weeks then expect a cheap ticket?

And as for people letting you down, one guy off here just didn't show when agreeing to buying my wife's ticket for Norwich (she was ill) while I stood in the pissing rain waiting for him.

I agree some people want tickets for next to nothing, they wait till the last few days before a game and expect people to more or less give away their seat and then moan when people ask for BELOW face vale for their seat.
If you are that desperate for a ticket then go pay the face value for a seat at the ticket office....which is way over what season ticket holders who cant make the game want for thier seat

i was in hamburg for the game a couple years ago, a blue was asking for any spares, i said i had one 20 quid, he siad i'll give you 10.

i ripped it up in front of him.

dont blame you de niro for what you did.Could have been a tout?
As for S/T,mine works out at £29.21.I paid my S/T back in July up front, not instalments, whether I could make the game or not.If you dont agree to the sellers fee, dont pay it.Simple, but dont moan about it.And remember the prices we pay for away tickets for normally an inferior view, restricted leg room(QPR),Chelsea etc, then whats the problem?

A ST cant be split 19 ways and then have a cost per game value. The club increase and decrease costs depending on the oppo and importance of the game Rags at home wont cost the same as Wigan

Too much time on you hands posting this the face value of a single ticket seems fair enough to me its worth every penny

If you want a ticket for less than face value then buy a s/c and stop moaning.

it is a bit cheeky tbh! Considering that they can't make it and if u didnt buy the ticket then they would be losing money

Dont you see above, that we'd Sooner rip the ticket up than get screwed about or taken for fools, as too much has been the case far too often.
Nobody cares about the rights of the ticket owner.
As stated in the original post, why should there be anybody gaining?
Buyer gains if he gets a cheaper ticket than cost price. This is unfair, perhaps he should pay the balance to the club?
But what about the finance costs for a ST and the aggravation arranging to do a favour for others?
Some people dont even pay when you send the ticket to them.

No point in taking crap trying to do people a favour selling on seats.
Isnt it easier to leave them empty.

The initial poster does not have a clue.
How does top 750 pound ST make 25-30 pound a game?
And why does he not know that tickets can be about 50 pound?

Y'all want the cake and eat it, but dont deserve any favours any more.

Bluemoon Policy should be maintained as no more than face value, -
but add that you dont expect to pay less. If so, the seller is doing you a favour.

We need to stop the nonsense of people thinking that they can mess you about and until late to get a cheap price, thereby ripping off the the seat owner and denying others. This is no good for anybody.
