Ticket queues in Glasgow

About a dozen of us flying out Monday and they do drink it'll be a blessing if we have a few hours off it liver recovery time, Dusseldorf one of best drinking places I've ever been Gladbach on the other hands a bit like Ashton on a wet Sunday night. Sure we'll meet up for a beer or two mate.

Cracking Cuban Restaurant in Monchengladbach which does amazing food and BOGOF cocktails, the swimming pool is a delicious BLUE number

The big irony is that City didn’t sellout for Turin last season, or Munich and Roma, the previous campaign, yet the new system discriminates against people like me who did bother with those games.

It normally goes against the grain, but yesterday I travelled on the Thomson trip and struck lucky with not having to queue.

Sadly, the official trips seem to be the way forward. I’ve done 78 of the last 82 european games, but it’s becoming a complete pain in the arse.

RESPECT for an impressive record

Would the posters on here that are so outraged by being treated the way they're being treated vent their frustration at a fan or group of fans that are at an away game clearly pissed out of their heads and high on cocaine, like they would to a club representative at the ticket collection point?

They've probably contributed to the decision to implement this collection system after all. They're by no means the main reason but it's surely something they've discussed when deciding to implement it.

Bad behaviour at away games is probably one of the reasons for the club wanting to know who is actually going to the games and anybody who's actually been to an away game, especially in Europe will have witnessed some pretty embarrassing behaviour from some fans at times.

Unfortunately a minority of fans that act like children while away with city have contributed to the rest of us being treated like children.

I don't blame the club if one of their reasons was to deter fans from going to an away game to get smashed off your face in the face of supporting the club.

Its nothing to do with point whores I'm afraid.

If security is the main factor then maybe that's not too bad a thing either, although Bluemooners make very valid points that we should be treated like adults.

Up until Glasgow, I think the main outcome of the ticket collection process had been for middle ranking points holders to go on the European trips they had probably dreamt about over the years. These Blues had earnt this right through their loyalty / the ticket points system. However, the length of queues in Glasgow means that the ticket collection process is unsustainable.

Its unlikely its that either, there's another thread about why its been introduced, and its about UEFA telling clubs they are responsible for their supporters behaviour, so they want to know who has the tickets, you can thank (a) Chelsea fan(s) for it.

I think ID on collections here to stay can't see the club changing it in the foreseeable future it's just finding the best way of sorting it but I think its going to be collect near the ground from now on.Celtic basically told us why it wouldn't work for domestic games though.

Bang on mate, I've only been saying it since Kiev

Here's the shocking fact

I was told on Monday....
There is somebody at the ticket office, arranging for tickets to be collected bŷ people who don't have enough points, for a fee.
A friend benefitted from this scam for Celtic. £120. I don't know who it is, I don't know anymore than this. My friend does not bull shit. This is shocking and negates the whole point of the process.

Not took Sam Allardyce long to find a new position as it.

Does your friend work for the daily telegraph?

The evening news asked yesterday evening and were advised by City... 'Safety issue'

Safety issues????????

As in?

Am I right in thinking.

To keep the majority of City fans in one area of the city centre before the match, instead of having them spread all over the city centre all day drinking.

Apart from maybe that, I can't workout how collecting a ticket at a location pre-arranged by the club, meaning fans have to trek across a city centre, then give them a wristband improves safety.
